The value of Sacred Heart education doesn't end at graduation - in
fact, its primary value may be the way it prepares young people for the
future.
You can help secure the future of Convent & Stuart
Hall through long-term, thoughtful gift planning. Your rewards will be
more than the potential tax savings - you will feel the satisfaction of
being a partner in shaping and developing the future of our schools.
By remembering the schools in your estate planning, you become a member
of the Duchesne Society and will be invited to the annual Duchesne
Society luncheon in November.
There are as many different ways to support the schools as there are needs for your support:
-
Bequests - Remembering the schools in your Will reduces the amount of your estate that is subject to estate tax.
-
Charitable Remainder Trusts
– This type of trust guarantees a gift to the schools in the future.
In return, you receive both an annual income from the assets you use to
fund the trust and an immediate tax deduction.
-
Charitable Lead Trusts
– With this trust structure, the schools receive an annual income
stream from the trust assets for a period of time, then the remainder
goes to your heirs.
-
Scholarships - There
are existing scholarships that you may consider supporting or you may
establish a scholarship in your name or to honor a loved one if minimum
requirements are met.
-
Gift Annuities - A
charitable gift annuity enables you to transfer cash or marketable
securities to the schools in exchange for a current income tax
deduction and our promise to make fixed annual payments to you for
life. Annuity payments can begin immediately or can be deferred to some
future date. There are minimum age and investment requirements for
these annuities.
If you have already
included the schools in your estate plans, we would love to see you at
the Duchesne Society luncheon so please contact our Planned Giving Office.
Individual
circumstances vary - as with all tax and estate planning, please
consult your attorney or estate specialist. We will be glad to answer
questions and offer suggestions confidentially based on your
