Kindergartner Phoebe Russell Named "Hunger All-Star" for Raising $18,000 for SF Food Bank

Phoebe Russell (Convent-K) started a can drive in preschool to raise money to feed the hungry in San Francisco, and she raised for more than any adult expected she would. For her work, Tyson Foods honored Phoebe March 18 by donating 15 tons of protein to the SF Food Bank.

Songs of Reflection now available

Songs of Reflection, a CD recorded by the Convent High School Girls Choir, is now available on iTunes and CDBaby. You can search either "Convent of the Sacred Heart" or "Songs of Reflection." The album was recorded in our chapel last April and features lyrics from the prayers of St. Madeleine Sophie as well as original compositions by Billy Philadelphia. All sales benefit the school.

The newsletter, called Heart of the Matter, will include news items that reflect each of the individual schools' themes.
